This dynamic scientific symposium will bring together leading breast cancer surgeons to explore a promising approach in breast cancer care: the use of post-lumpectomy radiofrequency ablation (RFA) as an intraoperative technique to create an additional tumor-free margin around the lumpectomy cavity.
With the potential to reduce the need for re-excision due to close margins, and possibly offering a radiation-free alternative to maintain local control in select patient groups, this discussion is essential for advancing surgical oncology practices.
