Innoblative Featured in LSI’s The Lens: CEO Rick Stark on Advancing Breast-Conserving Therapy

We’re honored to share that Innoblative Designs is featured in the July 2026 issue of The Lens, LSI’s magazine for medtech executives, in its Alumni Innovator Spotlight series.

In the feature, CEO Richard Stark discusses the clinical need driving Innoblative’s work: roughly one in five patients who undergo a lumpectomy requires a second procedure to address residual cancer, adding physical, emotional, and logistical burden to an already difficult journey. The article traces the origins of the SIRA™ RFA Electrosurgical Device, from Dr. Suzanne Klimberg’s early clinical insight and the engineering collaboration at Northwestern University, to the first-in-human procedure in Istanbul in July 2024, FDA Breakthrough Device designation, the ongoing feasibility study at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and the Category III CPT code approved by the AMA and expected to take effect in 2027.

As Richard puts it in the interview: “Breast cancer treatment is not one decision; it’s a sequence of decisions.”
